Actually Amy, your idea about watching for mirc only text sounded like the best script detect to me. You can also check for version info. I forget how you do that. I'm sure someone here knows. Check for proper tag on who return Check for proper version info and format Check for proper time info and format Check for non-guest nicks that no longer have a profile ( deleted their profile from site db but chat account remains ) Maybe nick doesn't profile nick. ( more research needed on that one ) other than on join script detection methods Check for mirc font codes ( as suggested ) Check for proper whisper returns Check for speed of kick/rejoin ( as scripts are pretty much instantaneous on kick rejoin ) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

err0r Posted March 22, 2010 Report Share Posted March 22, 2010 well at the moment what it does is when a user joins it checks for abnormal tag on the who return.. checks profile for no profile or profiles where the nickname doesn't match the add nick from the profile checks to see if guest nick is using something other than webchat then it checks for proper time format then it checks to see if there is no time or version return. it's progressive so if it finds something in the who return it doesn't time check, etc. it's still in the early stages. i'm working on the timers and flood protection for it. it also includes the control codes detector.. checks for $stripped Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
