  1. Hey Aimee, congratulations!!
  2. Don't know if you still come here, but in any case Happy Birthday, Nita! Hope you have a awesome one, today!!
  3. Awesome work, Mike!! :rate: :rate:
  4. I've been helping run a gaming community called, MoonGamers for awhile, now. We have alot of servers running multiplayer games such as the upcoming Battlefield 3, Battlefield Bad Company 2, Day of Defeat: Source, Battlefield 1942, Battlefield 2, Team Fortress 2, etc. I am a Core member there meaning I help run the administrative bits like bringing on senior admins, training them to bring on admins, make policies for our gaming servers, making sure we get donations to help run our servers, etc. It's alot of work, but very rewarding in that it helps bring our gamers the best servers possible with the best games. I don't get paid, but I didn't get paid while I was scripting, neither. I scripted, because I wanted to help bring people the best chat manager I could make that could be enjoyed by everyone. I still script at times, and am glad TG is still here. This is a great place for scripting resources.
  5. Thanks, chain. Hopefully it will be back up soon. I'm planning on visiting.
  6. I live in Western North Carolina. We didn't have it as bad, fortunately. I feel sorry for those that were in the storms path, though.
  7. It looks like the PlayStation network is going down the same path as Microsoft Windows, because of its popularity. Sony may have to step up security.
  8. I don't have PS2/3, but I certainly do feel sorry for those who do. Hopefully they'll have this fixed, soon.
  9. Hey Tarek. It is all dependent upon the server/network. Some require different coding from others. Such as VSixc has coding alot different from other networks. A long time ago during the age of MSN Chat I made an addon called Knock-B4-Enter. What this addon did was add deny access to *!*@* (meaning a total ban). When someone tried to join their gate would temporarily be added to grant access allowing them to be able to join the second time around. Mode +u was then removed to prevent knock flooding. They would have one minute to join before their grant access was removed. Once the joiner joined it would immediately remove the grant access from their gate which helped prevent hop flooding as well. Again, it is dependent upon your server/network you chat on. If you can go ahead, and download this addon. Then, once you find the time, see what you can do about rewriting it to work for you. You can also let us know where you chat, and we'll see what we can come up with to help.
  10. Is this for real, or has April Fools Day came late?
  11. I tried a code like that, but it only inserts a new line with that text in it. It doesn't color for some reason.
  12. Awesome!! I'll give it a try. Thanks again, Mike.
  13. I've never scripted for DCX before, but I may give it a try in a future project. Maybe even rescripting what I'm working on. I wonder if DCX can do what I'm looking for? Thanks for the info, Mike.
  14. Yes, but as stated that code... did -i myDlg 20 1 settxt color $rgb(255,0,0) colors the text in all lines. I don't want all lines of text colored. Just one particular line. For example... ...above is portraying a list of text. The text at line 3 is colored red while the text at line 4 is colored blue. The rest of the text is plain. That code above colors all lines of text. Not just one, or two. I need a code that doesn't color all lines. Just the lines I specify. I don't know if mdx can do this, but if not is there a dll out there that can in conjunction with mdx? If I have to use dcx that means an entire rewrite of my script which I would rather not do, because I have already spent alot of time on what I am doing, now. Thanks again, Travis.
  15. But what challenge would that be for you all?
  16. Thanks, Travis. However, what I'm looking for is a way to set text color for one line, and not all lines. Such as setting a text color for line 5 in listbox 1, and maybe later on for line 6 in listbox 1.
  17. Here is what the dialog looks like.
  18. I've been away from scripting for awhile, and am needing help with something. I am trying to code my dialog to color text in one line of my list window. The code I tried to use is... did -i $dname 1 2 settxt $rgb(255,255,255) ...however, instead of coloring the text it adds a line with this code in it. I'm using mdx.dll for my dialog as well as views.mdx. I've got it marking the dialog on init as well as the SetControlMDX as well. Is there anything I can do to make it do what I want? Thanks, everyone. on *:DIALOG:MT:*:*: { if ($devent == init) { dll $ff(mdx.dll) SetMircVersion $version dll $ff(mdx.dll) MarkDialog $dname dll $ff(mdx.dll) SetControlMDX $dname 1,5,8 ListView report grid showsel single rowselect flatsb labeltip stateclick > $ff(views.mdx) did -ra $dname 6 $chr(34) dll $ff(mdx.dll) SetControlMDX $dname 6 ProgressBar smooth > $ff(ctl_gen.mdx) dll $ff(mdx.dll) SetControlMDX $dname 7,8 scrollbar vertical > $ff(ctl_gen.mdx) .dll $ff(hos.dll) RemoveTheme $dname 6 .did -a $dname 6 BarColor $rgb(113,145,187) .did -a $dname 6 BGColor $rgb(255,255,255) .did -i $dname 1 1 headerdims 100:500 .did -i $dname 1 1 headertext Admins: .did -i $dname 5 1 headerdims 75:500 83:500 83:500 100:500 .did -i $dname 5 1 headertext Date: $chr(9) Logged In: $chr(9) Logged Out: $chr(9) Total Daily: .did -ra mt 7,8 0 1 100 1 1 1 } }
  19. I'm glad I didn't go for it, then. To tell you the truth if I did, and found out Verizon tricked me like that, that would be THE thing to make me leave Verizon altogether. I have very little respect for companies that lure people in like that only to pull the rug on them. Profit?! They won't be getting any money from me anytime soon!!
  20. Get ready to retire that worn leather wallet. If some of the country's biggest tech companies have their way, all the plastic cards crammed into your billfold will soon find their way into your phone. Photo Courtesy: Fox News Apple is planning to introduce a service that would let consumers use their iPhones and iPads to purchase products, essentially turning a user's cell phone into a credit or debit card, according to a Bloomberg report. Citing Richard Doherty of consulting firm Envisioneering Group, the report said Apple plans to embed NFC (near field communication) chips into its next generation iPhones and iPads that can beam and receive information within a distance of up to 4 inches. Instead of swiping plastic to pay at the register, a user could just take out a cell phone and wave it near an NFC-enabled reader. The purchase amount would be deducted instantaneously. When reached by ABCNews.com, Apple spokeswoman Natalie Harrison said the company does not comment on rumor and speculation. But the report has industry watchers buzzing about the potentially game-changing technology that could eventually transform cell phones into so-called digital wallets. Although Apple hasn't yet publicly declared its support for NFC technology, other major stakeholders, such as Google, Samsung, Nokia, Research in Motion (RIM) and cell phone carriers AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile, have already started lining up behind it. Google's latest Nexus S smarphone from Nexus is NFC-enabled, and Nokia and BlackBerry's RIM have said that they intend to offer more NFC phones in the near future. Gwenn Bezard, co-founder and research director at technology research firm Aite Group, said that regardless of whether the Apple NFC plans are true, the technology is poised to take the mobile industry by storm. "It's not a matter of if Apple is going to come up with something, it's a matter of when," he said. "Whether it's going to be this year or next or the year after, I think there's a very high chance that Apple and other companies will push NFC payments." The pay-by-phone market is expected to make up $22 billion in transactions by 2015, according to Aite Group. That's "still a drop in the ocean" compared to the total amount consumers spend in the U.S., Bezard said, but considering that the pay-by-phone market is about nil right now, Aite's research still shows that the market is accelerating.
