err0r
You would need to contact the staff of chat core for info on how to go about getting a custom chatcore entry for your website. As for +q i'm assuming you are using koach's network which is ircd. First I would suggest changing your room to access based. Make sure it is registered first. Then use channel serv option to add access. like /cs access #channel add nick 9999 for +q. the levels are listed on koach's forum. Use /cs help to get all the options. This is achievable via the "IFRAME" HTML tag. The "HREF" property of the IFRAME simply points to your webchat URL. You can find out what your webchat URL is by logging into the maintenance system.""" I dont understand this please help anyone used chatcore? thxn for the replys!
err0r
basically they are going to provide you with a small code to insert the chat into your website. The actual chat will be on their hosting and you are just using an iframe to include it on your page of your own website. The easiest way would be to just create a room on koach's network and link your chatters to it. You can see examples of how we did this by checking out the following links http://www.tg007.net/index.php?content=tg007chat it shows how to use mirc to connect as well as web and java chat. I talks about i can have my own domain...im just so dumb on this stuff ;-s """""'What is "Web IRC" and how does it work? "Web IRC" is an Unreal IRCd method of spoofing IP addresses on an IRCd server. The ChatCore webchat service does not connect the webchatter directly to the IRC server (see FAQ #9). By utilizing "Web IRC" on an Unreal IRCd server you are able to overcome this by connecting users to your IRC server via their real IP address.""""" it talks about the domain name """"""Usually this is because your domain is not pointing to the correct IP address. Make sure the IP address for your domain is the same as that specified in the maintenance system. You can specify your own domain here. It must point to: 70.84.48.90 i dont understand how i can do that :-s do i need ircd and how do i even post the chat on my domain cause the html wont work ??????????? err0r
if you do not understand how irc* works then i highly suggest you use a third party to handle the implementation of it. Trust me you will be much better off as it seems you have very little knowledge of what it takes. Running a chat network takes a lot of time and a very good understanding of how they operate. You should start small and do some research and testing before you go all out with your own setup. Just my opinion
Koach
Neophyte, Everything err0r said is correct. You can also create your own chatcore account and set it up yourself, but that's a lot more work. If you want to have your room on k.com and need info about the Web IRC part, contact me via email ([email protected]) If you want your room hosted elsewhere, you'll have to get that Web IRC info from that server admin. Koach (sorry about the spam everyone).
