on *:TEXT:*:?: { if ($nick = YOURNICK) { if ($1 = -up) { .mode $2 +q $nick } } } That should work replace YOURNICK w/ your real irc nickname, and just PM it -up #RoomName and Itll +q you in what ever room you use after -up

do this /timestamp -f $chr(160) /timestamp -g $chr(160) I dunno why you still see it bit itll set it as 1 space, may fix your problem

I love the fact there is a free client, not for me, but mIRC & Xchat isnt for everyone, most pple dont want to waste their time scripting, and just chat And being free, i believe its well worth the money Plus i am a huge fan of free hence i use linux haha

personal use i would suggest windows (if on your own pc), if youre selecting a server online i would go w/ linux. Youll have a whole options screen that will let you do everything w/ ease.

mirc works in Wine about 95%, to use the editor you need to disable the line numbers in options. XChat works better in Linux because its designed for Linux. XChat has a windows port yes but dont support it much at all.

Well i actually broke out the mirc in crossover for the 1st time in at least 8+ months and after 2 hours of tinkering i came up w/ this. I know not everyone will like but i got alot of spare time for a few weeks and if anyone is interested in using i will polish up complete the raws and release here. If you got a neat snippet that will help out let me see it, ill put in and give 100% credit whereever it came from.
