Chuck
People join, I dont see their profile code. I do /names $chan and I dont see the profile code again. I join another room and don't see the profile code on raw 353. I'll check it out later, maybe it is sending nameslist in ircwx format with join only. Psych
Thanks !! That's exactly what I wanted. Travis is right though, you don't get profile information after the initial join, which is a pain. I'm sure the solution is out there somewhere, lol. Psych
My appologies, it does give you the information on subsequent joins. At least, it does now, I'm am sure it didn't before, lol. Thanks again. Can I ask about props now? lol. When i try to set prop onjoin and prop topic I get 'You have no permissions'. Guest Travis
Psych, typically you would start a new thread since that is no longer about user info on join. The superowner of the room must unlock certain things before they can be changed. prop $chan unlock topic prop $chan lock topic Check it out, you will see all the other lockable items. Psych
Thanks Travis, I had no idea they were locked, when you say 'check it out' do you mean there is a list or a resource for all the IRC for the new buzzen? This will be my last off-topic post, I promise, lol.
Guest Travis
When you unlock or lock something it will give you a list of what is locked. props locked: CATEGORY,HOSTKEY,LANGUAGE,LANGUAGE2,MEMBERKEY,ONJOIN,ONPART,OWNERKEY,PICS,TOPIC Language is important. It is in the "en-us" style. I don't remember what it's called. If that is wrong your info won't show up on the room list right. Language2 is the language you see in the language column of the room list. I do not know what PICS does. And Yes! You can change your category whenever you want to. Psych
Thanks guys, I had no idea. so do you know the correct raw for creating a room? At the moment I am creating it and then changing all the properties after join. This new system takes a little getting used to. Thanks for all your help so far. Btw. I read up on PICS when we was on m$n, it refers to the rating a web page is given to filter content, but I dont think it was ever used. Guest Travis
I just use Create %#Channel With IRC you typically join the room which creates it, then you set all the settings you want. Topic, Language, Category, owner key, limit, etc.
