Microsoft is unveiling its new design for MSN.com today, available for Internet Explorer 10 users later this month. The new MSN.com picks up on Microsoft's "Metro" design language and will be available exclusively to Windows 8 users on October 26th. As most Windows 8 devices will ship with msn.com as the default homepage, most users will be greeted with the news site when they first use a new Windows machine this holiday season.

The redesign takes all the typical features you'd expect from a Windows 8 app and adapts to different resolutions and Windows 8's snap features. Microsoft claims the pages render twice as fast as the classic version of MSN. Along with a new corporate logo, Microsoft also unveiled a newly designed homepage last month — taking some inspiration from the company's widely used design language. Both redesigns are ready for the launch of Windows 8, which will be available to end users on October 26th.
