Foreverurs
I've been on a couple of IRC's that have an IRC bot that is connected to a world of warcraft server and is relaying the chat from the game to the irc and from the irc to the game, seems simple enough. However I can not seem to figure out the connect sequence needed to successfully open the socket. Do any of you know of an RFC related to wow, or any information? I've googled for hours on end and I can't find anything relevant. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Guest Travis
Have you asked the people running those bots?
Foreverurs
Have you asked the people running those bots? Yes. They were not willing to release any information regarding the bots auth process. Possibly because it contains username and password information. Guest Travis
Yes. They were not willing to release any information regarding the bots auth process. Possibly because it contains username and password information. Nah, most likely because they simply want to be the only one in their circle to have it. Here are some things Ive found. It appears WoW may use an IRC for its game chat. If so you should be able to connect to it with a socket if you can't use /server. Other WoW mIRC scripts: WoW Guru provides a simple and easy way for IRC channels to search our online database. Letting you lookup items, spells, characters, realm status, as well as keeping your channel up-to-date with the latest happenings in the World of Warcraft. http://www.wowguru.com/bot-service.php General Info: http://www.wowwiki.com/WoWWiki:IRC Person asking for the same thing I think. http://forums.wowgrunt.com/wow/thread.php?id=1406598421&forumID=1011693®ion=us Looks like you can access your log file that would log chat in the game, but I don't see how you would send chat to the game from an IRC server. But according to this post above, you could get your account banned if you do. Good luck!

The wowguru bot doesn't actually log in the game, i checked it out yesterday. I will check the other link though. Thanks.
Guest Travis
No, I mean it looks like it's illegal to mess with WoW's IRC and if you do I guess you get banned or something.
