sirfunny
Should I upgrade to XP SP3 or not? Is it really worth it or am I going to be trapped in endless problems?
Josh`
depends... lol. You could be sent into an endless reboot routine or you could be one of the people who have no problems at all with it. Only one way to find out, huh?
takaharu_
It's still debateable. SP3 integrated is worth it for the speed (less updates, less load time) but I would say that it's entirely up to you whether you install it before it becomes a required upgrade (much like SP2). It adds a bit of security to your system (plugs holes) and that's about it for note-worthy differences. Imo, ignore Josh (there are fixes even if you do have the reboot problem) He's used to people knowing his sense of humour. IRCx
sp3 is only a collection of updates after sp2
sirfunny
Nothing to loose anyway. If I get stuck in that endless reboot phase, atleast it'll give me an excuse to format (I've been lacking on the spring cleaning lately. My C drive looks worse than a crazy cat lady's home)
Black Scorpion
The heavens bleed, hell calls its minions to attack, and Microsoft releases another service pack. Worship the deity Gates. Molson™
It went pretty smooth over here. They say the reboot problem is only with amd's , so if you have intel, you shouldn't have any problems.
