Guarddog script is good. But it comes with some protection and other stuff "On" and I can't find the way to turn them "Off"

 

One time I was in the TG007 group room and <<err0r>> had to ban me because when he joined, the Guarddog script did a check on his version and other stuff.

 

Also one time in my room the script was baning some of my friends because they where repeating the same emoticon more than once, or because they did away and then returning right aways.

 

 

I allow them to do that kind of things in my room so I had to apologies for kick them out of the room.

 

But still I always recomend to use Guarddog Script. I just would like to find the way to turn those features "Off"

What is the different with an IRCD server and IRCX if both of then allow mIRC clients to chat on it. and what type is the one use by MSN ???

as well as

but people still able to whisper to my

I also have tryied

 

/mode %#g_myroomname +u

 

and I don't get the messages when someone can't get in the room

 

I also tryied

 

/mode %#g_myroomname -t

 

and I couldn't set the topic after I dehosted myself just to tryied

 

what am I doing wrong ??

Well I was just playing with the mIRC v.6.12. Then I download vincula 4.8 and the ozzy's convertor and try to join a room and I did succesfully. Now I would like to set a onjoin message and set up a bot talk file just for fun. I was wondering if someone here has few minutes and would make and addon for it (onjoin message and bot talk) so I can load it in the script.

Make it easy to use. Remember we are the user of your script and we have no much experience with the scripting topic.

 

Remember most of the people use script for protection in the room as well as entertaiment for the chatters so try to include in your script some protection funcions as well as fun games such as trivia, bot talk, and jokes and different macros.

Lol Hybrid doesn't need convertor. all that you do is copy your user role and pasted in the right windows (the one it says User Role), then just go to vincula main menu there just select Join room (group) then Normal there you just type the g_nameofyourgroup. and as you said BAM! you are in

I have been using Hybrid Omega and still working fine. I thought I wasn't going to be able to connect today after I read your post and some other people have been posting about errors with joining. But I went to try and have no problem at all.

I think it will help if you read the MSN section. You might find there the information you are looking for . I believe this topic has been told there a few times before so you wouldn't have any problem.

Well I actually thought that frienship my be a good reason why to host a person.

Most of the half of member in my group are my friends and I thought about making them host and owners. But I have find out that their knowledge about security and other importants things is very poor (some cases they are even dummiest than me) and all that they want is just come to the room and hunt for something.

 

So I thought about asking here because I remember there where some rules and requirements for the old Techgear007 room for those who wanted to be host in that room. I am not saying my group room is similiar to TG007 but a least I can have some ideas.

I Started this topic on a different board too. I just want to have as many opinion as possible.

Well I am very new with this chat things. Still I have opened my own community group at MSN.

 

Now my group is growing and I feel that is necesary to share my ownership and also put some manager helpers. I know you guys are pro and I was wondering what is a good criterial to host people in a regular chat room as well as a group room??

 

What do you guys consider in a person in order to make them host ??

 

Is it because friendship??

Is it because Money ???

Guardian_Morfeo is the nick that I use for my mIRC client

I read somewhere that registered nicks can't be changed. And if you can anyways and there is someone else with that nick that you want. You can always use especial caracteres they look like little scuares on the nick list but they look like letters on the main chat's screen.

To tell you the truth Kenobi script has been one of my all the time favorites, actually pretty much every script made by ozzy I have the idea that it will be great.

 

But the Final version of Kenobi got me all frustrate. I can't make it work

 

Although join only if I change the Vincual file. But that is not the point. I should be able to join just like it is
