  1. okay fair enough. but theres something i dont understand.... maybe you can make it clearer for me

when wcn closed because of 'lack of funds', i assume you werent able to afford hosting and such. why didnt you cancel your hosting subscription with your provider rather than OPEN a brand new website called 'goodhosted' and incur in further charges such as domain registration etc?

im no expert but if i had a website, and couldnt afford to keep it running, i would take the website offline and cancel my hosting; NOT keep my hosting provider (and still get billed each month) and open a new website. you own like 30 domains, everyweek i see a new domain being created by you.

    interzurf.com/.net/.org/.eu ; wcn-chat.com ; wcnchat.com ; goodhosted.com/.org/.eu/.net ; icu-chat.com ; SpritZRadio.com/.net

is your staffs 'donations' paying for all those other domains aswell?

also, on the goodhosted website... did you know it was illegal to remove the copyright on your shopping cart pages (http://goodhosted.com/shop/) , according to the "SHOP-SCRIPT" licence. refer to: http://www.shop-script.com/php-shopping-ca...-1-license.html

    8. You have to keep a link (a banner with alt="Shopping cart software" or a text link "Shopping cart software") to www.shop-script.com website from all pages of your ecommerce system powered by the Software.
  2. I find it funny that some people can't understand the concept of staff actually CARING about their Admin and a server they call home so much that they would do what ever they could to help keep it going.

Personally I think that if the staff are willing to do that for WCN it shows they are the right staff for any server. And before anyone starts 8-) lol NO! I dont mean that because they donate money to WCN, I mean in the sense that they are caring people and not power trippers like on some servers I have been to.

As for paying Dennie to work on WCN, again the concept of HELP comes to my mind. We don't pay him to work on WCN. We donate to WCN when we can (it is NOT compulsory to donate) as we are the ones that wanted WCN open again.

All I can really say is the staff are great people, they get rid of the trouble and operate a smooth friendly server (well as smooth and as friendly as any server can be with people of varied nationalities and such). And if the staff wish to donate money to WCN, who is anyone to criticize us for it unless we are using your money (which Im sure Im using my own and no one elses).

But on my behalf, I would like to thank you for making WCN the centre of your attention as it seems you have nothing better to do than criticize the way it is run.

Love WCN or hate WCN, either way you are thinking about WCN ;)

"People too weak to follow their own dreams, will ALWAYS find a way to discourage others."

lol you registered just to say that? anywho.. welcome to Techgear <wo0t> you are a valued member to Techgear and ask you to 'donate' in order to continue having the privilege of posting on these forums. lolol

like the other members have said in this post, it cant honestly cost more than a few euros/dollars a month to run wcn. the actual chat server is hosted on the guys computer, most likely in his bedroom so costs for that will be as its minimal. as for the hosting of the website, well if dennie cant afford to take a few euros EACH MONTH, from his pocket money to pay for the hosting then i dont think he should be running a website at all. again, i go back to my previous statement "your paying him to work for him" - compulsory or not.

call it what you like. donations, payments, wages, chocolate biscuits, food in dennies mouth, the green stuff --- whatever, it all mounts to the same thing - paying him to work for him.

  3. ill give you +q for a bj

    lmfao....

Buzzen will only go South when they are basically run by or turn a blind eye on their abusing buddies that MSN use to ban and close their rooms This is not a threat its a PROMISE

When you've got a website, and 66% of the Admins are children, like buzzen, then its inevitable that the site will go down the pooper. it's basically a waiting game now

  4. I like sparkpea. I think buzzen is just crap. But buzzen has the most users as of now. I say as of now because I have noticed more and more rooms leaving buzzen going to other networks and I see their numbers dropping. I just wonder where is everyone going. I know a good many rooms are open and busy on sparkpea but that does not count up for the loss of users I have seen. The room numbers on buzzen keeps dropping. The rooms never have the number of people in like they use to.

couldnt have put it better myself. buzzen has no one to blame but themselves. they are driving their own chatters away, little by little each day. buzzens website is absolutely terrible, apparently theres more bugs on buzzen than there is in my back yard. :notworking:

  5. I can't see whats so good about Sparkpea. Thats a very basic site, with minimal features. If I wanted to go back to basics, I'd have got rid of the central heating system in my house and replace it with a wood fire, and replace all of the lights with candles.

Buzzen does have terrible support and they have serious stability issues.

Don't even get me started with WCN, I'll be here all day picking out it's bad points.

VSIXc is better than any of these pathetic pitiful excuses of a website.

  6. i agree. the staff are already donating their time to helping build a chat network, why should they donate any more? if the admin was having financial problems, i think he should earn money by other means, such as a job, to cover the costs. not have the money handed to him on a plate by his own staff, who already donate their time to make the network a success.

even if the staff donate their own hard earned cash without his permission, there is nothing stopping him from giving it back. this is just my opinion though, if i was in his position, i would never accept donations from my staff because i'd feel they already do too much for me by donating their time. sorry if that offends anyone but thats just my view on the subject.

  7. "Lol." , so your staff pays YOU to work for YOU on your site? brings a whole new meaning to 'voluntary work'. thats ironic considering it was your choice to start a website, and ultimately your responsibility for any charges it incurs, not your staff.
