  1. lol you registered just to say that? anywho.. welcome to Techgear you are a valued member to Techgear and ask you to 'donate' in order to continue having the privilege of posting on these forums. lolol like the other members have said in this post, it cant honestly cost more than a few euros/dollars a month to run wcn. the actual chat server is hosted on the guys computer, most likely in his bedroom so costs for that will be as its minimal. as for the hosting of the website, well if dennie cant afford to take a few euros EACH MONTH, from his pocket money to pay for the hosting then i dont think he should be running a website at all. again, i go back to my previous statement "your paying him to work for him" - compulsory or not. call it what you like. donations, payments, wages, chocolate biscuits, food in dennies mouth, the green stuff --- whatever, it all mounts to the same thing - paying him to work for him.
  2. lmfao.... When you've got a website, and 66% of the Admins are children, like buzzen, then its inevitable that the site will go down the pooper. it's basically a waiting game now
  3. couldnt have put it better myself. buzzen has no one to blame but themselves. they are driving their own chatters away, little by little each day. buzzens website is absolutely terrible, apparently theres more bugs on buzzen than there is in my back yard.
  4. I can't see whats so good about Sparkpea. Thats a very basic site, with minimal features. If I wanted to go back to basics, I'd have got rid of the central heating system in my house and replace it with a wood fire, and replace all of the lights with candles. Buzzen does have terrible support and they have serious stability issues. Don't even get me started with WCN, I'll be here all day picking out it's bad points. VSIXc is better than any of these pathetic pitiful excuses of a website.
  5. i agree. the staff are already donating their time to helping build a chat network, why should they donate any more? if the admin was having financial problems, i think he should earn money by other means, such as a job, to cover the costs. not have the money handed to him on a plate by his own staff, who already donate their time to make the network a success. even if the staff donate their own hard earned cash without his permission, there is nothing stopping him from giving it back. this is just my opinion though, if i was in his position, i would never accept donations from my staff because i'd feel they already do too much for me by donating their time. sorry if that offends anyone but thats just my view on the subject.
  6. "Lol." , so your staff pays YOU to work for YOU on your site? brings a whole new meaning to 'voluntary work'. thats ironic considering it was your choice to start a website, and ultimately your responsibility for any charges it incurs, not your staff.
