I was just ( cause I kinda 'provoked' Yahoo's reply) surprised to hear that sth that has been thouroughly advertised by Buzz will probably not be happening. Back in October most members of stuff kept saying that Buzzen will change to its own ocx VERY soon. At some point I was told it would happen by end of October. Maybe they were confused with v2 (which is equally advertised but nowhere to be seen).

The link that someone posted earlier works. But the rooms show a bit..weird.

So no one told you that the forum you run ( as forum admin) will be down. Ok...you must be thrilled lmao

Yahoo the link to flash only exists in Buzzen forum and we can't open that. I know of that server but I never thought of saving it to my favs cause I never thought Buzz would be down that long lol. And yes, after last time's problem ( no rooms xept EB main and that one was hellish) I assume a lot will try to find other places to chat. Q , couldn't you have mass mailed your members to warn them/inform them?

They are adding some servers or something like that. Which is fine..kinda. What is not fine is that for those not in chat at the time of the whatever broadcast they made (and those who dun have any staff members on messy) it's impossible to know what happened to Buzz and most will sit there wondering what's wrong with their own PC. Which is what I do not like.

Me being me I'll go and burst Blaze's bubble ( sowwy ) I visited his site when trying to find the correct link to it. I read the Biography ( or was it the FAQ's section? ) and....I suggest you restrict the event to 18+ only. Killing babies and having sex with animals ( as sarcastic as he may be when replying to a question about NARFA) is not sth a 15 year old should witness. P.S. And Blaze..you had an account m8. I do not remember who it was who said why don't we carry discussions about Buzz in its own forum. Well, as I have said before ( in one of my posts here ) an ocx discussion is NOT encouraged in there ( regardless of what Yahoo says, sorry). Yes, the posts may remain in the board in the Moved Topics BUT if you look at it the description of those topis is 'Topics that are moved due to inappropriate content, which are not for full deletion'. So yeah, OCX talk is inappropriate in Buzz ( and if you dare post against Buzz you are usually attacked by ' i love "THE CHAT THAT WE DARE NOT SPEAK IT'S NAME" but actually do have a room elsewhere as well for when buzz is down' chatters/posters and personally I'd rather be attacked by TG members than staff disguised as chatters). I've had lots of questions pop up in my head since reading the threads in here and ( even though I'm not as hardcore as Deanne is about the illegal vs legal thing) I am interested in reading more about it and I can't do that in Buzz. And for what it's worth, Shagman did have sth to do with Buzz getting popular WAY BEFORE he started posting here about it ( so the 'your posts when arguing advertise "THE CHAT THAT WE DARE NOT SPEAK IT'S NAME"' says nothing to me). Believe it or not, some of us Buzz ( then NSM) chatters did like him and appreciated his work as staff. Fact his bitterness towards Buzz ( for reasons unknown to me personally) shows in every single of his posts probably makes him NOW a not much liked poster/chatter. But still, as an internet user, I do not recall him 'shouting his mouth at me'. There seems to be an issue between Buzz's current staff and staff that are no longer with Buzz ( see, I appreciate the work someone's put into sth and refrain from using the term' got rid of', maybe current Buzz staff should choose their words more carefully esp. since they ARE representing Buzz still). Erm, I just realised I'm WAY off topic here, in the wrong board and possibly at the beginning of one of my 3 pages long rants so...I'll stop now lol Thx for reading this. I just saw this. And sorry if I seem to be reviving an old threat. It's funny..what one person sees as racist, a person of that ethnicity sees normal enough to use as a rooms name ( almost a whole networks name).

I was referring to what attracts the average chatter when checking out roomlists. I was basically agreeing with Webby. Now, if Webby (and me or whoever, I'm just expressing my opinion, Webby may disagree)) found that the busy room is too swallow or not offering quality chat ( rare these days) or (as you said) way too fast she would probably try a less busy room, but STILL busier than the odd 'me and my script plus an extra nick I brought in' room.

Funny you said that. Saw several posts* claiming 'numbers don't make a room popular'. As in they don't attract chatters ( whether they remain after the first visit is questionable). *Not here, you just made me think of it.

Without wanting to sound negative ( and without referring to Vsixc) if a room is dead there won't be anyone to welcome, greet you or talk to you, thus give you that 'friendly' feeling. I feel some of you have forgotten the basics of chat. It ain't scripting, cloning, posting even but ( in my humble and n00bish opinion) CHATTING. And if I can't chat, unless to myself, why bother go into chat? Yes, friendliness is a major issue these days. Getting a hello means a lot and yes, I'd rather go in a room of 5 and get a hello than a room or 95 and be totally ignored. But a mere hello just dun do it for me lol.

I've avoided posting in this threads ( other than maybe once or twice and usually OFF TOPIC lol). I am a Buzzen chatter, did some hosting there a few months back ( yes ozzy, the anti-staff ili broke her own rules-won't happpen again, trust me on that lol ). Most chatters are attracted to Buzzen ( how I see it anyways) bacause it looks like MSN do damn much. For someone who started chatting in MSN , never used a script, finds most things that have to do with chat quite a task, moving from MSN to Buzzen/Phreik/other msn ocx places was only too easy. I used to chat at CUSA and getting used to it wasn't easy at first. But i did get used to it and liked the place. People I tried to get to chat there though didn't actually return after their initial visit. Vsixc ( do sth about the name plz, i can't even type it right without looking at Gwen's siggy) is a great place. I've shown my mug around there a few times. What stops me from going more often is the lack of..chatting. I go and at times end up idling for 10-15 hours cause every time I look in room ( Lobby) no one says anything. I scroll back in the morning and all that was typed was a few lnes in dutch, a few in english and that's it. No, it will not be always like that, I know it won't. But unless it gets a bit busier I'll continue going just to say hello to people I know in there. Ok..last bit was a bit off topic lol. I'm not sure if Buzzen (and any chat network that will decide to start using their own ocx) will be as succesful in the future. I sure hope they will. But (as it has been said previously in a post) I fear some chatters will go looking for the next msn lookalike. And that's something Vsixc ( checking Gwen's siggy again *sigh*) and other networks with own ocx will not have to worry about. P.S. The whole cloning debate in here ( cause no, a debate to this extent does not happen in Buzzen) gave me some insight as to what's legal and what not. I'm not stupid, I see your point Gwen. But still, I will continue chatting there (and offering suggestions for further improvement even) for now because..it's busier than most chat places i know. It's as simple as that really.

Is cloning when you enter a room with an exact same nick as someone else? If yes, then yes it must be possible as I've seen it done a few times.
