can i see this screenshot cause i never saw it lol
-
i see nothing ?
guess, ill do the honors.
-
the more i stray into these topics the more i understand why x-fusion understands the meaning of mirc being multiplayer-notepad lol
-
whether it's online or your computer. Your computer is only going to be as secure as the person using it.
-
It's called common sense and knowledge. That's all. No piece of software can save you if you are stupid on the internet (unless you're x-fusion). No piece of software will ever be as smart as common sense either. What is common sense in these terms ?, Don't store your damn bank and/or credit card details in a text file on your desktop. Don't scan your passport/signature or any formal ID documents onto your computer for storage unless encrypted and or in an offline restricted VPN/Local server which you know is secure. If you're dumb enough to for go doing actions like this you deserve your identity stolen cause the person stealing it is probably more smarter then you are and deserves it!.

all i see is replicated msn chat formality ... they need their own style lol.
-
lol yea maybe invite err0r to sit round and tell kiddies about his XT mirc stories all over again even though they are explained multiple times through the archives here. or get ozzy to talk about the days leading up to public release of kenobi or somthing

approx %95 of all websites are hosted at home or in a mass hosting enviroment. Standard hosts only have 100Mbps uplinks. No host is gonna optimize there network for overhead when they can optimize it for profits.
there is no standard 100mbit SONET link. SONET standard starts at OC-1, which is 51.8mbit with a payload of 50mbit next step up is OC-3, at 155mbit (150mbit). "100mbit link" is usually a 100mbit NIC to an OC-3 or less.
OC-1OC-1 is a SONET line with transmission speeds of up to 51.84 Mbit/s (payload: 50.112 Mbit/s; overhead: 1.728 Mbit/s) using optical fiber. This base rate is multiplied for use by other OC-n standards. For example, an OC-3 connection is 3 times the rate of OC-1.
OC-3
OC-3 is a network line with transmission speeds of up to 155.52 Mbit/s (payload: 150.336 Mbit/s; overhead: 5.184 Mbit/s) using fiber optics. Depending on the system OC-3 is also known as STS-3 (electrical level) and STM-1 (SDH).
When OC-3 is not multiplexed by carrying the data from a single source the letter c (standing for concatenated) is appended: OC-3c.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Optical_Carrier
read this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/T-carrier , Internet backbone technology. otice none of it says anything about 100mbit...
even DWDM and TDM (fiber division and time division multiplexing) is in increments of 155mbit average.

FYI a 140Mbps DDoS flood will take down about %95 of all the websites in the world.
heh....140mbps DDoS is not enough to even down a minor Internet tier cloud.
140mbit distributed attack, even if utilizing broadcasts would suffer from fragmentation, 140mbit would quickly turn into 30mbit with 90mbit spikes.

i see...

lol ironic they are using same backbone as msn chat used for its servers. how much do you want to mimic them...
Buzzen has provided a stable, secure chat environment that so many users have missed/craved since the MSN Chat era.stable and secure... they were down for a couple of days because of a DoS attack. or if you mean in terms of user security... no matter what server network website you're on when net predators move in you'll see same demise as msn chat and yahoo chat did

from neowin.
As promised yesterday and after 5 years of development, Vista is finally finished.Jim Allchin, the co-president of Microsoft's Platforms & Services Division has put together a video about the announcement where he announces the General Availability (GA) date of 30 January 2007 for Vista.
Nick White, product manger in Windows client also had this to share with Neowin readers:
"Ultimately, we never could have achieved this milestone without you, the enthusiast community, who have played a key role in making this the highest-quality, most secure, most reliable and most usable version of Windows the world has ever seen. You gave us unprecedented support in testing and providing your feedback while we designed, developed and refined Windows Vista -- so much so that it has in many ways become a reflection of your involvement."
On a conference call with Jim Allchin, Microsoft announced that they will have 18 languages at launch in January and will ship 32 within 100 days of English RTM.
Availability of the RTM code on MSDN is still not known officially with a Microsoft spokesperson citing "within 7 days" after todays announcement. Given MSDN has scheduled down time from 7PM PST to 9PM PST on Friday, November 10th - I'd expect it to arrive shortly after that.
I'd like to take this opportunity to congratulate Microsoft, its partners and OEMs and wish Jim Allchin all the best with his retirement from Microsoft at the end of January - good work guys.
Expect exclusive RTM ship party photographs shortly.

Windows live messenger already has pay-on-demand features. considering Windows live is a highly in development suite atm nothing can be said for whats going to happen or be made next, not even steve ballmer. Also may i note to you that don't know that Windows Live is a highly integrated free service with Windows Vista when it releases, you will note it in the welcome screen when those of you who haven't already seen it. plus there is more programs to be developed so who knows what is on the horizon. Of course lets not mark the idea of paid extended features, but windows live will never be an absolute paid users only service, so your rumors you are hearing are completely fake no-matter who you hear them from.

welcome.

using the ocx obviously is just like pirated windows, givin the chance for microsoft to jump on an obvious point of it they will, but alot of the time they wont do alot besides tell you its wrong and expect you to respect them.
