HTC - Touch The Microsoft Apple face-off comes in a multitude of flavors and the mobile phone market is just another front for the two companies to go head-to-head on. With Microsoft already an established presence in the mobile industry and with the Windows Mobile operating system, Apple has found itself in the position of a newcomer. And the Cupertino-based company has gone all out with the iPhone and has even apparently sacrificed the upcoming release of Mac OS X Leopard to the phone. Apple is aiming no less than to replicate the design success of the Mac computers and the iPod digital media players with the mobile handset.The iPhone plans are modest, much in the same manner as with Microsoft's Zune and the iPod. While Zune is still on track to selling one million devices by the end of June 2007, the same date will debut the availability of the iPhone and the start of the run to 1% of the market. But while 1% of the mobile market is equivalent with a healthy slice out of a volume of 1 billion mobile devices sold per year. Apple's iPhone selling 10 million items in the first year of availability will be nothing short of a success and a rough equivalent of what the company is selling with the iPod. However, Apple's main competitor in the mobile industry is not Microsoft, not even by far. Although the Redmond Company established a strong presence, Apple would have to go against household names such as Motorola and Nokia. But this does not mean that the Apple and Microsoft feud won't transition to the mobile market. As Apple will release the iPhone in the US, Microsoft together with HTC have gone for the non-traditional American market. The HTC Touch Mobile Phone will be released outside the United States, and it will feature touch screen capabilities, not multi-touch like the iPhone and Windows Mobile 6. Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer stated in the past that the company has no plans to turn Zune into a phone and that it will continue to work with hardware partners for platforms for the Windows Mobile operating system. Whats the point. Its probably rigged lol Most of the TG users hang out in VSIXc because the admins hang out their. And it probably is the most supported on TG. Personally, People may criticise buzzen, But it has lots of users, and thats what a chat network needs, who cares about the staff, if therse only like 5 ppl online in a chatroom. Buzzen has more wide range of people too talk too. Their Staff are great aswell. Jag

ISP? Paying for that. Most people who do run a server off their PC have to upgrade the Internet connection so its faster. Huge Chat networks like buzzens cannot be ran of PC's. And not many chat networks have as many users as buzzen, but you could only run limited amount of chatrooms. The chat network would get slow eventually because the pc could not handle it. Also, Think about the Website hosting costs? . And yes well, if the staff do donate, its their choice, they are keeping the site open because they like chatting their. If he wants to give the staff who donated privedgles he will. Its his site not yours. Maybe he has the made the donated Admins?. Maybe the staff just want themselves to stay as they were before. Jag

No it just mean the staff like working there, and want too keep the chat site running. If they have like, I dont know? erm, 10 staff, they all donate £10 thats £100 quid there. Okay I was wondering of setting up an irc server and putting like 2 chatrooms on my site like Helpdesk And Thelobby but i need to ask about NTL - this mostly goes to ozzy cus he probably knows or doesnt, Does NTL allow irc server stuff or do they forbidd it and then close your account down? because i have a isp that all my dad and ma bro uses and they pay 4 it and so i dont wanna get like letters home saying that your account has been closed due to a chat network or irc server being opened and shit like dattt? i have tested it out and it does work with my ip currently but i dont want to carry on using it due to the above so can sum1 help me out with thiss???
