The question should be based on peoples past experiences with staffing issues with buzzen, why do "non-paid" staff stick around? If theres no return for the time put in, why bother? Why design web pages where someone else claims ownership of the site? Why promote something like it was your own, when at the end of the day there is no return? Why let others cash checks(cheques)? Now if you ever seen plentyoffish.com this site never asked for money from its members, yet it takes in $100,000 a month, and this was done within a 3 year period. Now gets over 1 million hits per day. You can see the success story . Something I would have brought. Ha Suckers.

Its not the ocx itself that makes the sights go down, its programming on the server side that lacks.

When you think of it the main work to be done on any clone is the actually getting people there, and keeping them there. With the whole "if you build it they will come philosophy" does not work in the chat world. As there has been some really good chat servers put together where it amounted to nothing in the end. Essentially if you make something work, and people start coming, this gives you reason to improve your service. Its all about making the right moves, some strategic, some not so strategic.

The audacity of these pricks, they want to weld all the power. If you notice they still tell everyone the work they do is volunteer, yet they will claim ownership of it. Deanne, the only reason most of these kids start these chat sites is for recognition. They require some sort of power. Take remko for example, a real power monger, his chatters hated him due to his power monger ways, but he was good at web design, since mohamed couldnt design a web site, he got together with remko. Mohamed couldnt build his site up on his own steam so he enlisted myself and others to bring people in. Some of us were tossed away. Anyway my point being is chat sites are pretty much build on having some sort of control. Take it away from them and the seek revenge like you've never seen before. So no you will never see these sites join forces.

Cuz they ban you for going against their way of thinking, they dont take kindly to being called thieves and liars and what not. They prefer you take it up with the admin so they can ban you.

This seemed to work 30 fake nicks for each real joiner remove 2 nicks. but make the nicks say random contraversial comments of a list of 500.

But at techgear we dont discuss cloning nicknames:|, ohh yeah thats for msn only right? I swear alot and sometimes the word Flower comes up as a replacement word, maybe tg could do the same for when clone networks come up. Kinda like on the Smurfs, you know "I chat on the smurfchat." "Oh shut the smurf up you smurfin moron". Would make it kinda fun.

Some experts say if we encourage the people to make their own clones by offering tutorials and such, it would drive people away from the bigger ones, then the so called big clone owners would have less of an ego, and drop the $50 fee. Oh is that USD OR CAD?
