phreik hosting cost now reduced by another $28/m and server_bot is stable.
did some benchmarking.. tcl executes about 10-12 times faster than mircscript. which is pretty cool.
working on a simple tcl bot atm that i may give out. it wont do a great deal of tricks..
but main advantage.. is that it can run on any OS, eg. hire shell account for $2/m or if you happen
to hav a Webhosting account that allows ssh access.. you will be able to run the bot off that, and hav
it idleing in your room constantly.

in regards to pervs.. yes certainly that element is possible.. but so far hasnt been an issue, most are enjoying the new feature.
u hav full control over who gets to see ur cam after its turned on, someone else wishing to view you, requests it from right click menu on ur nick, a request dialog pops up the other end stating the nick, with a yes/no button, and a checkbox to "remember this decision".
so if theres a persistant so and so.. jus check the box an click no. an they can request all day an you will not be disturbed.
can also change ur mind after u let someone, an boot them off from the slide down "whos watching" list.
when i get time will do some custom swf's for use in mirc with nhtmln, and add cams to the phreik addon.
Zantetsuken ...... i would suspect most female in the chatrooms would hav boobs yes ... and possibly some men to !

if anybody has experience in programming in TCL , and wants a join a small chat network development team, being me, an 1 other.
lets know.
if you see in phreik rooms,
there is a Server_Bot and an Idle_Bot. Sever_Bot does the background tasks of communicating with
database tables to do tasks like webpage list updating, room founder +q 'ing etc.
ServerBot is actually a mircscript socketbot, hence requireing a Windoze VPS account.
and an Idle_Bot , idlebot is dumb does nothing, its a short TCL script written by me, and runs localhost to the
unrealircd daemon, it just joins all rooms from /list command.
The TCL programmer task is , to program a TCL Bot like idle bot, to perform all the functions of Server_Bot
so the bot can run localhost to the unrealircd on FreeBSD, or on a separate shell. so we can get rid of the VPS account.

Just an update to say phreik now has its flash webchat set as the default for new users.
the msnocx is still available via option. End user can choose to use either.
Its coded entirely in flash CS4 / AS3 from the ground up. includes cams using FMS installed on Centos.
Runs smoothly, and infact.. ive coded it with "controlled" processing of the IRC raws.. so to speak..
wich means.. it literally cant be "hung" from a flood or etc. As developers in flash would know.. its not
the fastest executing end product. but believe i hav overcome this. emotes r similar to msnocx so ... "regs"
dont phreik out to much with the change. but planned for extra emote sets in future.

i happen to know of a chat that has this feature as msn did, but slightly different format.

can script output of that to display or do whatever kick wise etc. eg.

Recently switched to useing Unrealircd 3.2.5 , after a long time modifying it.
however for many months have been running it on the existing dedicated windows server
costing in excess of $300. yes.. a massive overkill for a proper single ircd.
over the last 3 weeks have been tweaking the c code (of my mods) to fully support the ANSI-C
libraries for compilation on linux/bsd. as it was bugged and crashed under linux. yet same code
running on windows is 100% stable. weird stuff.
end result ? done. chatserver is now compiled and running stable and on.. i quote from ssh
Server Configuration:
AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4200+ (2210.08-MHz 686-class CPU)
2 GB Ram
100 mbit Port
FreeBSD 7.2

late 09 .. broke up with gf , and returned to phreik after a 1.5yr break from internet and chat. /me slaps self in head.. where were my priorities?!
By 2010.. with help from Chief had new website up and running, with chat up and running using new modified unrealircd.
Jan 2010.. Started learning myself some flash/as3
Jul 2010.. new flashChat with cams , along with facebook app for access to the same rooms.
Jul - Dec 2010.. Miscellaneous mods/improvements to unrealircd, programed custom TCL service bot, chopping and changing ircd hosters.
Dec 2010.. chatrooms for webmasters active now with "get code" linked from chatroom.. gives iframe code to put a chatroom on your own site.
backend profileing system is not fb like planned.. but phreik profiles and auth. bit plain looking .. will be improved once Chief gets his adsl back next month.

Staminus atm proveing to be quite sucky. sucky network([10053] x 1000), sucky support that refuse to admit hardware fault, sucky hardware (altho replaced stable box now)
Expect to see permanent change here shortly.
We will be working on a brand new website.. and.. domain name change. something with a much more professional look, and name.
This will take a while... will most likely be a xmas present.. NEXT xmas.
FlastChat is still basic. designed for the chatter.. not the room owner. an access list editor however will be added shortly.
Possibility of a FlashBot being made and linked for room founders. this will have everything needed to protect and manage a room.
