  1. Happy Bday 2 U =) I follow you... some days later lol.
  2. If MSN chat was not closed, it would be now something as "Windows Live Chat" lol. Why not, if the chat software evolved as evolves Windows Live Messenger, it could be an excellent chat service! But not using the old ocx, already because it lost of its charm after being used everywhere and sometimes in an awkward way, and also because future technologies are not in the way of the use of a activeX. Anyway, sure I would go back too
  3. I would like to add: now, to configure networks or wireless networks is easy as never before. Average users are able to set safely and clearly their wireless connection. All permissions and all settings are now in one area only.
  4. Molson I'm not fully agree with you. See well, Vista is really more secured than XP, even for average users. Vista help users to find a solution when the O.S. has a pb, by searching online issues etc. Vista help more to find drivers needed. Now, as XP, Vista can have errors too. I have a reversed feeling about Vista: XP is for coders, Vista IS for the average users...
  5. XP has a limited number of brushes. When I use mIRC many times using MDX + photoshop + dreamweaver, I was over the limit of maximal number of brushes, and softwares have then errors (not able to open a new dialog, ...). Vista is increasing the number of available brushes. It's already a very good point.
  6. I would like to precise that I use a PC with a dual boot XP / Vista since the begining of Vista. I installed many games on the both OS. After many tests, I'm now sure that the same game is always faster and better on Vista.
  7. I'm owner of a HTC Touch, and I love this mobile phone and Windows Mobile 6 pro. Before, I tested Symbian, it's good too, but not so good (imao). For me, Apple products are limited compare to Windows Mobile. I like the way to use the phone by touching screen, it's easy, well done. I use Putty mobile and ssh sessions are easy. There are numerous good task managers, folders managers, and good system tools. It exists a good Windows RDP client too (remote desktop). Morover, embeded HTC tools (like photo software, dialer, plugins, touchflo, htc_cube...) are really good and usefull. By using Windows Mobile center on Vista (or ActiveSync on XP) you can synchronize with MS Outlook, OneNote, WindowsMedia etc like others PocketPC or WindowsMedia capable devices. You should test a HTC of the Touch series (touch, touch duo, touch cruiser...) at least one time in your life Others HTC (as TyntII) are really good too, near a full PocketPC, with graphic accelerator included, and could be "touch capable" by installing something as TouchCommander or TouchFlo only. P.S. (for Josh ^^) I am left handed too, screen of HTC Touch can be reversed.
  8. OfficeIRC + mono + cofee :x
  9. well I will test again, maybe I did something wrong ^o)
  10. Oz', sometimes, dunno why, maybe depending dll used or others things or mirc versions, I have some pb if I don't run mirc as administrator on Vista... (tested for mirc 6.03 up to 6.16). About the nicklist code here, I seen that Rebar is used -> alias rebar { dll $ff(rebar.dll) $$1- } This DLL no longer work on mirc versions with the new mirc treeview. It's possible to use dcx instead to be able to dock dialogs/windows on latests mirc versions (last dcx embeded last rebar).
  11. Well, in any case, if you cant support Active X, you cant use Buzzen V2, because Flash Player IS an Active X. But I seen "for new buzzen, not any components is needed, and active x are not secured". Not true. Flash Player = Active X = needed for Buzzen V2 = Buzzen V2 not compatible with IE 64 bits for example, or not compatible with an IE without Active X support (or if user had turn it off). Then lol buzzen V2 need an active X And in any case, Buzzen v2 way is very so slow... I dont know how it's possible that coders imagine that users will be agree with that...
  12. Maybe I wish good luck for users using 56k on future buz'n serv (y) and good luck to buz'n ;o) And we will see if your ajax work is so protected and so stable and so reliable than an ocx in few weeks, no ? I already seen that the beta version of Buzn V2 had banned guests few hours after the buzn update, why ? because it's "so stable" ? lol.
  13. And how much time to load this page with a 512 Kbps connection ? Ajax is fine for asynchronous applications and not for synchronous uses as a live chat server It's nice, that's true, but only nice and probably not has relevant as an activex/java applet/flash control implementation. Last point, I seen your quote about 32/64 bits system. If you use a 32 bits OS with a 64 bits processor, then your system is ALWAYS slower than with a 64 bits OS, because in this case, processor emulates 32 bits, and emulation = slower
